Thomas L. Bryan

Thomas L. Bryan, 64, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Thursday morning, December 5, 2013 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Thomas was born on March 8, 1949 in Lorain, OH to the late Harold and Gladys (Wiedman) Bryan.

Thomas retired from Lorain Printing after 30 years of service as a journeyman pressman, and had been working at Sam's Club for the past 5 years. He proudly served in the Ohio National Guard during the Vietnam War. Thomas was a member of Milan Mount Harvest Church of God. In his spare time he enjoyed wood working, oil painting, gardening, building models, fishing and fixing things. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved traveling with his family, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Phillips) Bryan, whom he married on August 2, 1969; daughter, Leslie (John) Lazzara of Sandusky; son, David (Michelle) Bryan of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Devin, Conner, Tiffany, Sabbrina, Shannon and Matthew; four great-grandchildren; special friends, Dick and Cindy Gorman of Elyria; and his godchildren Michelle Lumadue and Michael Gorman.

In addition to his parents, Thomas is preceded in death by his grandson, Skyler Lazzara.

Friends may call on Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Carl Woodyard Sr. and Rev. Carl Woodyard Jr. presiding together.
