Mark R. "Papa" Klose, 62, of Sandusky, died Saturday morning, December 7, 2013 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family during a very peaceful passing.
Mark was born February 17, 1951 in Sandusky, where he was a long time resident.
He was a 1969 graduate of Sandusky High School. Mark worked for General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. Papa loved working, hunting, football and raising all kinds of animals, but most of all, spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, the former Lynda L. Meade, two daughters: Tamara L. Fraley (Rich) Steinberger of Clyde, Lisa M. (James) Leibacher of Castalia, six grandchildren: Brooke Saylor (A.J.) Davidson, Megan Saylor, Philip Saylor, Kaiden Hansberger, Lindsey Boyer, Jade Hansberger, two great grandchildren: Rylie & Alston Davidson, his mother: Mary Jane (Panzer) Klose of Sandusky, two sisters: Paula (Klose) Schnipke of Lakewood, CO., Patricia (Klose) Smith of Sandusky, four nephews: Nathan Smith, Seth Otto, Robert Klose, Raymond Klose, and other relatives.
With a tender heart, we know a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, friend, and man left this world. He will be greatly missed. We feel blessed to have so much love and support from our family, friends and community over the past several weeks.
He was preceded in death by his father: Robert Klose and one brother: Max Klose.
Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky and on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 1:00 PM until time of funeral service at 2:00 PM in the St. Stephen United Church of Christ, 905 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky. the Rev. Jerald A. Fenske and Pastor Bob Hudberg will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
