Mary Esther Will, 95, residing in Sandusky, passed peacefully away early Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Parkvue Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Mary was born on September 16, 1918 in Sandusky, OH to the late Edward and Florence (Collings) Windau.
Mary was a 1936 graduate of St. Mary's High School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in 1970. She worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital for 10 years. Mary was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Sandusky. She enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, reading, walking, going to church and spending time with her family and friends.
Mary is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann (Robert) Tacina of Brunswick, Ohio and Christine (John) Hermack of Toms River, New Jersey; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Olive (Gene) Ruehle of Tiffin, Ohio and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Louis Will in 1969, son, Edward Louis Will in 1998, three brothers; Norman, George, and James Windau; and one sister, Winifred Lease.
Friends may call on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A prayer service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 9:30 am in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
