Michael F. "Mike" Cetnarski of Sandusky, Ohio passed away suddenly December 24, 2013 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after an extended period of heart disease.
Mike was born June 19, 1944 in Meriden, Connecticut to the late Paul and Pauline Cetnarski.
Mike moved to Sandusky, Ohio in 1994 and was employed as an electrician with General Motors, where he retired from in 2001. He was a collector of gadgets, especially weather instruments, and lighting items. He enjoyed spending time helping people.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Kathy (McBride) Cetnarski; his two sons, Jonathan Cetnarski of Brooklyn, New York and Eric Cetnarski of San Francisco, California; sister and brother-in-law, MaryAnn and Don O'Byrne of Meriden, Connecticut and niece Shannon O'Byrne also of Meriden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paulette.
Friends may call on Monday, December 30, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, Ohio. Prayer services will be held December 31, 2013 in the funeral home at 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky with Father Joseph Steinbauer officiating.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Brian Baxter and Dr. William McGuinn for their compassionate care over the years.
