Paul Albert McIntosh, Jr., 63, residing in Garfield Heights, OH and formerly of Sandusky, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014, in the Cleveland Clinic surrounded by his family.
He was born August 6, 1950 in Anderson, South Carolina to the union of Paul Albert McIntosh, Sr. and Eleanor McIntosh. After his birth, he was nicknamed "Samson" by his maternal grandmother, Rosa Grier, because of his strength. Shortly thereafter the young family moved to Sandusky.
Paul was raised in Sandusky. He attended Mills Elementary School, Adams and Jackson Junior High Schools, and graduated from Sandusky High School in 1969. After graduation, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he attended a technical school. He then began employment at Metro Medical Center. He continued in that employment until his retirement after 33 years of service in 2001.
He leaves to mourn his passing his father, Paul, Sr.; sister, Donna (Robert) Sherman; brother, Delbert McIntosh; daughter, Ronna (Deion) Gray; grandchildren, Darrien and Deion, Jr.; four nieces, two great-nieces; and an uncle, aunts, cousins, and other family members and friends. Paul loved life and was very comical. He will be truly missed by all those that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor McIntosh, in 2011.
Friends may call on Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. (Noon) in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Thomas E. Darden, Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
