Steven "Steve" Ray Sorrell, Sr., 46, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly late Monday, January 6, 2014 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on July 27, 1967 in Sandusky and attended Sandusky High School. He worked for Acme Printing and Routh Packing.
Steve was a member of Sandusky Church of God. He loved fishing, hunting, and riding Harleys.
Steve is survived by his wife, Lori (Greene) Sorrell; children, Steven (Amber Campbell) Sorrell, Jr., Ryan (Danielle) Sorrell, and Brandon (Chandler) Sorrell, all of Sandusky; grandchildren, Payton, Elijah, Aydan, Rylan, Noah, Tristan, and Cameron; father, Elbert Sorrell, Sr., of Clarksdale, Miss.; brothers, Tim (Poppy) Sorrell and Rick (Crystal) Sorrell, both of Sandusky, and Elbert (Marti) Sorrell, Jr., of Lewisburg, Ohio; step-sons, David Clark, Randy Clark, Jeffrey Clark, and Gregory Simpkins; sister- and brothers-in-law, Sandra (Dale) Greene-Hammons, Richard (Michelle) Greene, Ronald (Lynn) Greene, and Robert (Jenny) Greene, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Donna and Robert Eschenauer.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until Noon on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Sandusky Church of God, 1018 W. Bogart Rd., Sandusky. Funeral services will begin at Noon with Rev. Harvey Studer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, Ohio.
