Anne Virginia Gilcher, 67, daughter of the late Virginia (Neubauer) and Charles Gilcher passed away while in Stein Hospice Care Center Wednesday morning, January 8, 2014 following a lengthy illness.
She was a 1964 graduate of Sandusky High School, and a 1967 graduate of the Providence School of nursing. She was an RN at Providence Hospital, retiring after 30 years. Anne was a former member of the Sandusky Sailing Club & Fireland's Civil War Roundtable. She was a current member of the Ohio Horseman's Association, the Sandusky Yacht Club, and Sandusky Power Squadron where she held local and district offices.
She is survived by her cousins, Charles H. (Kathryn) David, Charla (Douglas) Johnson, Denise (Dominic) Wells, and extended family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Aunts and Uncles, Henry and Dorothy (Gilcher) David, and Ester and Herbert Bahler.
At Anne's request, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will take place Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Sandusky Yacht Club 529 E. Water St. Sandusky, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandusky Power Squadron PO Box 2003 Sandusky Ohio 44871, to Stein Hospice 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky Ohio 44870, Humane Society of Erie County 1911 Superior St Sandusky, OH 44870 or to the donor's choice.
