David R. Wood, 58, of Sandusky, died Wednesday evening, January 8, 2014 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 22, 1955 in Sandusky and was employed as a printer.
David was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky and his hobbies included gardening, reading, and he was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his parents: LaMar & Rita (Puchalski) Wood, one sister: Kathleen Wood Beier of Sandusky, one step son: Jonathon Brake of South Carolina, nieces & nephews: Joseph (Jill) Wood, Jr. of Columbus, Jennifer (Brian) Years of Victor, N.Y., Richie Wood of Columbus, Julia Williams and Andrew Beier, both of Sandusky and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by one brother: Joseph L. Wood, Sr. and one step daughter: Tricia Setzler.
There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, January 13, 2014 in the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Avenue, Sandusky. Father Michael Roemmele will officiate. A bereavement luncheon will immediately follow the Mass in the Holy Angels Gathering Room. Inurnment will be in Castalia Cemetery.
