Linda M. Kettel, 71, of Norwalk, Ohio, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 in her home.
She was born April 4, 1942 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Linus H. and Mary E. (Durnwald) Ruffing and was a lifelong area resident.
Linda was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, was a 1960 graduate of St. Paul High School, and was a member of the St. Paul Alumni Association. She retired from Norwalk City Schools in 1998, teaching fifth grade, at Maplehurst School for 34 years. Linda was a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed wintering in Ellenton, Florida, playing shuffleboard, roller blading, and computers.
Linda is survived by her husband, of 49 years, Raymond L. Kettel of Norwalk, Ohio, by her son and daughter in law, Richard and Dianne Kettel of Brighton, Michigan, and by her grandchildren, Sarah Kettel and Rebecca Kettel. She is also survived by her sister, Barbara Lois (Charles) Sheldon of Mentor, Ohio.
Friends may call on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Inurnment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
