Eugene H. (Gene) Kessler, 69, of Monroeville, Ohio, died unexpectedly at his home, Sunday, January 26, 2014.
He was born July 18, 1944 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Harold and Doris (Dillingham) Kessler.
Gene retired from Hanson (France) Stone Quarry with over 40 years of faithful service. He enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, and enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cleveland Indians.
Gene is survived by his daughter, Toni Kessler and Jason Zendejas of Norwalk, Ohio, by his brother, Bill Kessler of Monroeville, Ohio, and by his sisters, Linda Kamann of Monroeville, Ohio, Janet (Rodney) Anderson of New London, Ohio, Kathy (Fred) Hacker of Greenwich, Ohio, and Judy (Jay) Schaffer of Monroeville, Ohio, and by his mother and father in law, Laura and Clair (Popeye) Wagner of Flat Rock, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lou (Beck) in 2008, and by his brother, Robert Kessler in 2012. Friends may call on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 12:00 Noon until the time of Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Bob Hudberg, Pastor of the Foundation Church will officiate.
