Robert J. Myers, 81, of Norwalk, Ohio, died January 28, 2014 while vacationing in Port Charlotte, Florida.
He was born December 31, 1932 in Norwalk, Ohio to the late Elmer and Ruth (Krespach) Myers and was a lifelong area resident.
Bob was a 1950 graduate of St. Paul High School and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served in Germany. Bob retired from Anitec Image Corporation in 1995 and was a former employee of GAF. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Ronald Myers of North Fairfield, Ohio, Julie (Dustin) Badovick of Norwalk, Ohio, and Steve (Tracey) Myers of Norwalk, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Rob Myers, Kelsie Myers, and Chad Myers, and by his step grandchildren, Molly, Emma, and Audrey Badovick, and by his great granddaughter, Evelynn Myers.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Mardell J. (Krupp) Myers in 2011, by his son, Alan Myers in 1984, by his brother and sister in law, Richard and Jo Ann Myers, and by his sister and brother in law, Helen and Jack Comyns.
There will be no calling hours. Prayer services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, (Social Hall) 91 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
