Richard F. Barrows, 93, of Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 29, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on October 10, 1920 in Vergennes, Vermont, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Richard was employed as an engineer for the U.S. Government at NASA Plumbrook Station, and Glenn Research Station for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Chapman) Barrows; children, Stephen (Yong Ju) Barrows, Marguerite (Joe) Michels, Bonnie (Tom Jameson) Barrows, Richard Barrows, Jr., Nancy (Eric) Fink, Linda (Mark) Quinn, Michael (Kimberlie) Barrows, and Barbara (Ward) Wrabel; seventeen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Claire Duclos; brother, Robert Barrows; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marguerite (Daniels) Barrows; and a sister, Helene Palmer.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date in Vermont. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Vergennes, Vermont.
