Marjorie W. (Alexander) Green, 87, Columbus, OH and formerly of Sandusky, died on Sunday, January 30, 2011 in Grant Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
She was born on September 9, 1923 in Sandusky, OH. She was employed for Philco, and General Motors for 32 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending time with her family and entertaining family and friends.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Susan (Henry) Beale, Columbia, TN, Yvonne Donald and Judy Matthews, both of Sandusky, Vicki Leonard, Leslie Green and Roslyn Green, all of Columbus; sons, Scott Green and Nicholas Green, both of Sandusky, and Rodney Green, Columbus; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Albert (Mevelyn) Alexander and Lewis Alexander, both of Sandusky; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J.T. Green; her parents, James and Rebecca (Connors) Alexander; sisters, Gracie Crooks, Ida Alexander, and Gladys Prophet; and brothers, William Alexander, Shields Alexander, Willis Alexander, Frank Alexander, Gospy Alexander, and Jim Alexander.
Friends may call on Friday, February 4, 2011 from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Clayton E. Howard will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer�s Association, 2500 N. Reynolds, Rd., Toledo, OH, 43615.
