Robert B. Baker, 80, Sandusky, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014, at his residence.
He was born on May 3, 1933 in Springfield, Kentucky.
Robert was employed by Didion Brothers and Vulcan Materials.
At an early age, he was a member of the Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Springfield, KY.
He is survived by his daughters, Anita L. (Mike Culbertson) Brown, and Markeeshia Baker, both of Sandusky; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Nell Clark, Louisville, KY; brothers, Rudolph V. Baker, Sr., and Charles S. Baker, both of Sandusky, Dillard B. Baker, Sr., Louisville, KY, and Jack L. Baker, Toledo, OH; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Edward and Mary Katherine (Brown) Baker; sisters, Rooney L. Breland, and Mae Antoinette Tonge; brothers, John E. Baker, Jr., Allen Baker, and James "Fred" Baker.
Friends may call on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 1 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Josiah Brown will officiate, and Pastor Robert Bernard Baker will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
