Herbert C. Hill

Herbert C. Hill, 61, Sandusky, departed this life Saturday, February 1, 2014, in Elmwood at the Springs, Green Springs, OH, under the care of Stein Hospice.

He was born January 3, 1953 in Laurel, MS. Herbert graduated from Lockport East High School in Lockport, IL in 1970. Herbert was a U.S. Air Force veteran, 1st class Airman, certified as an electrician.

Herbert was a construction worker, and remodeled several homes.

He was a member of the former Sonship Fellowship Church. Herbert enjoyed music, sports, cars, and most of all being surrounded and embraced by his family and friends.

Herbert leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Jenise (Alfred) Hinton, Columbus, OH; son, Ezell Taylor, Sandusky; grandchildren, Mindy, Kimberly, Cortez, Chance, Irenejana, and Micah; great-grandchildren, Messiah, and Marcwan Jr.; sisters, Cecelia Horn, Atlanta, GA, Annette Alexander and Sharon Ray, both of Sandusky, Gwen Clarke, Alabama, and Vanessa Curtis, Dayton, OH; brothers, Gregory Ray, Louisville, KY, Chad Mills, Darnelle Donald and Vincent Donald, all of Sandusky, Tyrone Donald, Louisiana, and Michael Donald, Norwalk, OH; special friends, Linda Monegan, Terry Jones, Melvin Reynolds; a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Donald, Sr.; mother, Jeanette (Hill) Donald; brother, Frank Donald, Jr.; grandmother, Arguster McNeal; and friend, Evelyn Irene Taylor.

Friends may call on Thursday, February 6, 2014, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev. Curtis L. Johnson, Jr., will officiate. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery where the American Legion Post 83 will provide the military tribute.
