Polly R. (Ferrell) Ward, age 83, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 7, 1930 in Delbarton, WV to the late George and Orva (Tiller) Ferrell.
She worked over 25 years at Norwalk Furniture, attended Mt. Harvest Church of God, and an auxiliary member at the Norwalk VFW, Eagles and American Legion. In her earlier years she enjoyed bowling, gardening and traveling with friends to Casino's.
She is survived by her children, Mable (Gary) Weimer, Linda (Sidney) Weimer and Patty (Dave) McDonough, all of Norwalk, Roger Dale (Diane) Ward of Sandusky and Rick (Dawn Fell) Ward of Norwalk; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Ruby Tule of Norwalk; brother, Cletus Lee Ferrell of Shade, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Reather Ward in 1996; brothers, Franky Ferrell and Wallace Ferrell Jr.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. Carl Woodyard will officiate. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
