Kenneth Christopher "Chris" Nemitz, 48, of Sandusky died unexpectedly Wednesday, February 19, 2014 in the Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
Chris was born August 8, 1965 in Lancaster, Ohio and had lived in Sandusky most of his life.
He was a 1984 graduate of Perkins High School and was employed at PPG Architectural Coatings, Huron. Chris was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, an AA member and an avid sports fan.
He is survived by two sons; Alex Nemitz and Skyler Nemitz both of Sandusky, one grandson; Cohen Nemitz, Sandusky, his parents Kenneth L. and Julia (Gundelfinger) Nemitz, Sandusky, two sisters; Jill (Todd) Wagner, Sandusky, Jackie (Craig) Davis, Clyde, two brothers; Matt Nemitz and Nicholas (Caren) Nemitz all of Sandusky, his dog; Lucky, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call Friday, February 21, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky with Father Eric Mueller officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
