Marjorie E. Kuck, 88, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, February 21, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Marjorie was born on September 18, 1925 in Sandusky, OH to the late Otto and Angeline (Gentille) Scavio.
Marjorie graduated from Sandusky High School in 1944. She worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell, at JCPenney, in home health care, and at the front gate at Cedar Point. Marjorie was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Sandusky where was a lay server for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery, and spending time with her family.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Kevin) Shea of Rochester, MI and Denise (Michael) Gerold of Mesa, AZ; son, David (Terri) Kuck of Sandusky, OH; six grandchildren, Timothy and Dominic (Julia) Fresch, Erin and Eileen Shea, Sarah (Jason) Sarasin and David Kuck; four great-grandchildren, Brody and Bryce Fresch, and Axl and Caylee Sarasin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Forrest A. Kuck, and siblings, Thomas Scavio, Roselyn Caponi, Mary Gillingham, James Scavio and Lawrence Scavio
.
Friends may call on Monday, February 24, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 am on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marjorie's memory may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 510 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, OH 44870.
