Virginia "Ginney" Light, age 82, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday evening, February 23, 2014 at Gaymont Nursing Center.
She was born March 5, 1931 in Long Bottom, OH to the late Wilbur and Gladys (Quillen) Bissell.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, and worked at the former Rockwell Industries, PMS and Norwalk Furniture. She also worked at the Huron County Shady Lane Nursing Home and cleaned homes. She enjoyed gardening, driving with her friends and volunteering at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
She is survived by her sons, David W. (Kim) Light of Norwalk and John C. (Carrie) Light of Norwalk; grandchildren, Evan, Nathan, Ellie and Michaela; and numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Kathleen Carnahan of North Fairfield; brother, Ralph (Karen) Bissell of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland C. Light in 1994; brothers, Hayward and Howard Bissell.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be Thursday at11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Rev. Joe Grof will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
