Landis K. Reaser

Landis K. Reaser, 82, of Grafton and residing in the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born on April 7, 1931 in Normantown, W. Virginia to the late John and Velma (Beall) Reaser.

He moved to Ohio and attended Lagrange Local Schools. Landis retired from Abex in Elyria after 30 years.
He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the United States Army. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Grafton. He was also a lifetime member of both the Grafton VFW Post 3341 and the NRA. He loved to fish, bowl, hunt, and visit W. Virginia.

Landis is survived by his wife of 28 years, Arlou "June" Reaser, whom he married on June 15, 1985; children, Treasa (Stuart) Hildebrandt, of Nova, Scott Reaser, of California, Duretha (Ronald, deceased) Taylor, of W. Virginia, Sharon (Phil) Wilson, of Lagrange, Gary (Sharon) Moore, of Westlake, Steve (Linda) Moore, of Lagrange, and Randy (Renee) Moore, of Grafton; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; six sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret V. Reaser; two grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers.

Friends may call on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. at the Ohio Veterans Home Giffin Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Military funeral services will begin at 11:30 with Chaplain Paul Birmingham officiating. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery in Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Landis' name to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
