Geraldine "Jeri" M. Conyer, age 84, of Huron, and formerly of Castalia, died Sunday afternoon, March 9, 2014, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born February 17, 1930, in Wellington, OH, and graduated from Townsend High School in Collins, OH, in 1948.
She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia; and worked for Periodical Publishing for several years before starting at New Departure in 1952; where she worked for 30 years, retiring in 1982. Jeri was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post 83, Sandusky; VFW Post 2529, Sandusky; I.A.B Club, Sandusky; Women of Moose Club, Sandusky; Club Amer-Ital, Bellevue; German-American Cultural Center, Olmsted Falls; and the Slovenian Club of Lorain. She enjoyed bowling, ballroom and polka dancing, traveling, and joining her special friends with the John Peters bus trips of Lorain.
She is survived by her Husband Melvin Conyer; cousins Thelma Rifenburg, Blanche Williams, and Vernon Jeffery; and several very special friends.
Jeri was preceded in death by parents Ray and Eve (Davidson) Comstock; grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until time of services at 12 Noon, Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Grace Lutheran Church, 203 S. Washington St., Castalia. Rev. Kathleen Suggitt will officate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
