Ronald Ervin Straley, 56 years, of Bellevue, passed peacefully to heaven on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at his residence in Bellevue.
He was born May 1, 1954, in Fort Wayne, IN, the son of the late Ervin and Alma (Schooley) Straley. Ronald was a graduate of Bellevue High School and BGSU, Firelands. He had been employed with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad on a repair crew; was a cable TV technician with Cox (Buckeye) Cable; and recently did medical billing from his home. Ronald was an honored Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America.
Survivors include his two sons, Nathan Parker and Jonathan Straley; and his daughter, Melissa Straley, all of Findlay, OH; three sisters, Sandra (James) Nuttle, Sherry Straley, and Tina (Matt) Heath, all of Fort Wayne; a brother, Chester (Sue) Straley of Toledo; two grandchildren, Graham Straley and Adrian Parker; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at 1:00 PM, at St John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest St, Bellevue, OH.
