Richard E. Magyar, age 58, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 18, 1955 in Lorain.
He attended EHOVE and was a graduate of Bellevue High School. He worked on the Assembly Line at Ford Motor in Lorain for 24 years and retired from Kentucky Ford Truck plant in Louisville, KY in 2003. He was also a driver for Renzenberger Transportation and a part-time electrician. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, collecting junk, working on his Jeep, fishing with family and friends, bowling in a couples league and was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711.
He is survived by his wife, Becky Magyar of Norwalk; children, Tonya (Todd) Corbin of Norwalk and Brian Magyar of Norwalk; grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle, Tyra and Tyson; mother, Verna Magyar of Bellevue; siblings, John (Diane) Magyar of Bellevue, William (Valerie) Magyar Jr. of Bellevue, Mary Magyar of Bellevue, Verna (Lew) Bunch of Stafford, VA, Theresa (Dave) Cline of Mansfield and Karen (Doug) Lumsden of Canfield, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Magyar; siblings, Michael (Sandy) Magyar and Harriett Conley.
Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
