Eugene (Gene) A. Krupp

Eugene (Gene) A. Krupp, 82 of Norwalk, Ohio, died Friday afternoon, March 21, 2014, in Fisher Titus Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 10, 1931 in Marywood, Ohio, to the late Walter E. and Dolores (Miller) Krupp, and had lived in the area most of his life.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Iceland. Gene was the owner of Gene Krupp Distributing from 1956 to 1991. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and was a volunteer for the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Gene was also a member of the Norwalk Bronson Conversation Club. He enjoyed farming, gardening, playing Euchre and Pinochle, playing horse shoes, corn hole, and played in several area sports teams and leagues. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Gene is survived by his wife of 61 years, Arlene M. (Ott) Krupp, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, all of Norwalk, Ohio, Nancy (Lawrence) Cisco, Michael (Ann) Krupp, Kathleen (Andrew) Kertis, Diane (Arthur) Pember, Kenneth (Tari) Krupp, David (Darlene) Krupp, and Kevin (Karen) Krupp, by 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia (Ralph) Shoemaker of Wooster, Ohio, Barbara (Larry) Truschon of Norwalk, Ohio, and Robert (Nancy) Krupp of Norwalk, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law Mardelle and Robert Myers.

Friends may call on Monday, March 24, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Anthony Recker will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
