Deborah E. Bensinger, age 64, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, April 05, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
She was born December 26, 1949 in Lansing, MI and lived in Ionia, MI, where she was a member of the Methodist Church. She moved to Norwalk in 1982, and worked in the Edison schools and Norwalk Economic Development Center. She was artistic and musically inclined. She also put on a heck of a Christmas morning for the grandkids.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Garold "Bill" Bensinger of Norwalk; daughter, Billie Jo (John) Kilbride; son, Brent (Tiffany) Bensinger; sister, Renee (Dave) Rosecrans; mother-in-law, Locena Bensinger; four grandchildren, Brandon, Justin and Hallie Kilbride and Mack Bensinger; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ada (Patterson) Hawkins; and father-in-law, William Bensinger.
A gathering for family and friends will be Tuesday from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home, Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate.
