Milford Fred Gardner, 90, Huron and formerly of Sandusky, died Monday evening, April 7, 2014, in Admiral's Pointe Nursing Home, Huron.
He was born on September 18, 1923, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was employed as a cook in the former New Departure cafeteria.
Fred is survived by his wife, Goldie (Youtzy) Gardner; step daughter, Sandra Farrar, Houston, TX; step son, Stephen Chivington, Lakewood, OH; grandchildren, Douglas Wilson, New York, Michele Allen, St. Louis, and Regina Ayers, Sandusky; several great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Viola (Scott) Gardner.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held.
