Geraldine Josephine Baker, age 83, of Norwalk, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
She was born April 25, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio.
She was a graduate of Bellevue High School and went to Beauty School, moving to Norwalk in 1957 and then operated her salon, Gerri's Salon. She worked 28 years at the former New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky. She attended St. Paul Catholic Church, and enjoyed her children and family. In her spare time she enjoyed going out to dinner, shopping and taking care of her home.
She is survived by her son, Michael A. Baker of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Chester O. Baker in 2008; and son, Donald W. Harrington Jr. in 2012.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. in the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue.
