Arthur "Tootie" Cruz, age 66, of Sandusky, died Friday, April 25, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born Nov. 15, 1946, in Horsebound, Texas, and was a 1968 graduate of Margaretta High School.
He was retired employee of G & C Foundry, and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sandusky. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, and loved his dogs Chico and Taco.
Tootie is survived by three sisters Rose Cruz Hall and Odilia Cruz both of Sandusky, and Mary (Joe) Durso of Elida, OH; five brothers Ralph (Sharon) Cruz of Castalia, Ronnie (Olivia) Cruz of Fostoria, Larry Cruz of Sandusky, Corondo (Diane) Cruz of Chula Vista, CA, and Alfred Cruz of Sandusky; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sylvestre and Gregoria (Landa) Cruz, Sr., two sisters Olga Cruz and Hortencia Villarreal; five brothers David, Sylvestre, Jr., Ruben, Herman, and Robert Cruz; and nephew Tim Wright.
There will be no visitation and cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 30, 2014, in Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1605 W. Jefferson St., Sandusky. A luncheon will follow at the church.
