Michael A, "Tony" Sirene, 44, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, May 5, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Michael was born on October 17, 1969 in Sandusky, OH to Michael David and Joyce Faye (Jones) Sirene.
Michael was a 1991 graduate from Danbury High School. Michael was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the lottery, fishing, singing karaoke "House of the Rising Sun", listening to music; Moe Brandy and George Jones, he was an avid Ohio sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Michael is survived by his two daughters, Angela and Hannah Sirene; their mother, Nadine Buzzard; parents, Michael and Joyce Sirene; sister, Cecelia Sirene; brother, Brian (Rachel) Sirene; nieces and nephews, Brittany, Cheyenne, Tylor, Mikaylah and Chasity; great-nephew, Eli and several aunts, uncles, and other family members.
Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Talton and Opal Jones; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Katherine Sirene; brother, T.J. Sirene in 1992; his Aunt Barb Thompson, and Uncle Larry Sirene.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 4650 Port Clinton Eastern Rd., Port Clinton, OH with Pastor Ryan Morter, Pastor Peter Dodd and Pastor Roy Smith presiding. Burial will follow in Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead, OH.
