Helen "Emma" (Chaff) Wendt, 84, formerly of Sandusky, Monroeville, Willard and Old Fort, died Monday, May 26, 2014 at Heartland of Marysville, Marysville, Ohio.
She was born to the late, Frank and Teresa Chaff, in Akron, Ohio on June 8, 1929.
Emma graduated from Akron South High School in 1947. She married Rolland Wendt on May 27, 1950 and raised their children on a farm in Monroeville. Most recently she resided in the Columbus, Ohio area.
In addition to being a devoted farm wife, Emma worked as a bookkeeper for Monroeville Cooperative Grain.
Emma was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroeville, a 4-H advisor, and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, family, sports, and traveling with her husband.
Emma is predeceased in death by her parents, eight siblings, and an infant son, Keith Wendt. She is survived by five children: Ronald (Linda) Krueger, of Monroeville, Ohio, Timothy (Lisa) Wendt, of Monroeville, Ohio, Jan (Joe) Turnley, of Norwalk, Ohio; Thom (Linda) Wendt, of Westerville, Ohio; and Kevin (Megan) Wendt, of Irwin, Ohio.
She is also survived by siblings: Mary Brown, of Plano, Texas; Irene Dyak, of Gainesville, Virginia; and William Chaff, of Land o' Lakes, Florida, multiple grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be on May 29, 2014 from Noon until time of services at 2:00p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 98 W Main St, Norwalk, Ohio. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville, Ohio.
