Carmela Christina Davis, 38, of Sandusky, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at her residence, unexpectedly.
She was born on September 15, 1975 in Sandusky, OH.
She is survived by her parents, Herbert and Patricia (Hyatt) Davis; children, Rakin Jemel TaJion Davis, Akeela Mayfield, Kenneth Daimian McCarty, and Kenyon Derrick Lashawn McCarty; grandchildren, Talean Breon Crooks, Zayvier Shamon Devern Dickerson, Jr., Avant Jerrel TaJion Davis; sisters, Traci Porter, Janet Porter, Patricia (Raguel) Porter, and Kimberly (Andre) Fuller; brother, Herbert (Junie) Davis, Jr. ; best friends and cousins, Michelle Jeffries, Carmita Mayfield, Janey Darden, Jawon Davis, Nicole Hunter, Amy Garrett, Nika Fenderson, and Detra Brown; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, James E. Porter; sister, Sonya Davis; grandparents, James and Genease Hyatt, and Thomas and Hattie Davis; aunts, JoEllen North, Irene Knight, Eula Davis, Willie Wee Dunn; uncles, James Hyatt,
Herman Davis, Roosevelt Davis and Rufus Davis; nephew, Shaquille Porter.
Friends may call on Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 7-9 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Friday, 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Jerome Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
