John R. Reitz, age 81, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
He was born Feb. 21, 1933 in Bellevue the son of the late, John "Ray" & Iris Margaret (Keesy) Reitz.
John worked for Ace Hayward Construction and later retired from Kelsey-Hayes in 1995.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Bellevue VFW, and the Bellevue and Clyde Eagles Clubs. John enjoyed golfing and loved spending time at Bay Point for the past 42 years.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Schiller) Reitz whom he married Sep. 18, 1965 in Bellevue, daughters; Robin Reitz of Chicago, Michelle (Paul Cox) Reitz of Memphis, Step-grandchildren; Michaela Cox, Nathan Cox, brother; Garth Reitz of Bellevue, and his sister Mildred Shockley of Fremont.
Friends will be received Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. A private memorial will take place.
