Luena M. Couture, 89, of Monroeville died Tuesday morning June 3, 2014 in the Norwalk Memorial Home, Norwalk following a lengthy illness.
She was born June 21, 1924 in Monroeville where she had lived most of her life.
She had been employed at the former Wilson Cabinet Company, Port Clinton. Luena attended the Foundation Church of Norwalk. She enjoyed her grandchildren, the Cleveland Indians, her dog Clay and collecting angels.
She is survived by five sons, Dean (Jean) Whiteside of Oak Harbor; John (Pat) Whiteside of Millbury; Terry (Ruth) Whiteside and Johnny Couture both of Port Clinton; Rick (Brenda) Whiteside of Monroeville and two daughters, Tammy (George) Dill and Sue (Doug) Evans of Clyde, two sisters, Bertha Scott of Greenwich and Verna (Hank) Mead of Monroeville; one brother, Lawrence (Virginia) Farley of Florida, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wilford J. Couture, Jr. in 2006, three children, Dennis, Connie and Randy Whiteside. Her parents, Maurice and Dollie (Davis) Farley, four brothers and one sister.
Friends may call from 5:00 - 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville, Ohio where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 6, 2014. Pastor Jeff Watson will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
