Daisy M. Oney

Daisy M. Oney, 86, of Norwalk, Ohio, and formerly of Collins, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Fisher Titus Medical Center.

She was born July 2, 1927 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Lacy and Meldie (Ray) Craft, and lived in this area most of her life.

Daisy was a former employee of the Shelby Depot, and Fanny Farmer Candy Company. She enjoyed cooking, baking, assembling puzzles, going to garage sales, and spending time with her family and friends.

Daisy is survived by her children, Nancy (Stan) Nickoli of Norwalk, Ohio, Sonia (Charles) Gregor of Collins, Ohio, Gary (Treva) Oney of Collins, Ohio, Larry (Carol) Oney of Gerogia, and Jerry Oney of Georgia, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Seldon (Mary) Craft of Norwalk, Ohio, and Elmer Craft of Willard, Ohio, and by her beloved dog, "Scrappy".

Daisy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Oney in 2011, by her brothers, Cecil, Clinton (Dudley), Elden, and Ollie, by her sisters, Lizzie Craft, Tressie Arnett, and Lula Wisecup, and by her granddaughter, Amy Oney.

Friends may call on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Friends may also call on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. James McClain, Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Collins Cemetery.
