Concetta "Connie" C. (Esposito) Manner, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday evening, June 12, 2014 at Parkvue Health Care Center after a brief illness.
Connie was born on October 27, 1926 in Sandusky, OH to the late Vincent and Josephine (Lazzara) Esposito.
She was employed at G & C Foundry for 25 years before retiring in 1985. Connie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was on the board of trustees for the former IAB Club and a member of the bereavement luncheon committee. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Connie is survived by her daughter, Frances Marie (Mike) Brennan of Sandusky, OH; son, Bernard J. (Carrie) Bottger of AZ; step-daughters, Sharon Ford of Warren, OH and Brenda (Glen) Witsaman of Medina, OH; step-sons, Richard (Marianne) Manner Jr. of Canton, MI and Craig (Ann) Manner of Bellevue, OH; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Gloria Spencer of Surprise, AZ and Janice (Elsworth) Williams of Sandusky; brother, Joseph (Esther) Esposito of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by first husband, Bernerd J. Bottger in 1987; second husband, Richard F. Manner in 2007; sister, Josephine Cameron; brother, Nicholas Esposito and sister-in-law, Blanche Esposito.
Friends may call on Monday, June 16, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 9:30 am in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
