Sharon L. Townsend, 61, of Norwalk, died Monday, June 23, 2014 in Fisher Titus Medical Center.
She was born November 10, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Everett E. and Betty L. (Mowery) Rice, and had lived in this area most of her life.
She was a graduate of Norwalk High School and E.H.O.V.E. Joint Vocational School. Sharon had worked at Morgan's Restaurant, and retired from Norwalk Furniture. She enjoyed crafts, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Carl J. Townsend, Jr., of Norwalk, Ohio, by her daughters and sons in law, Shaunda (Mark) Romell, and Kristy (Dan) Logan both of Norwalk, Ohio, by her grandchildren, Madison, McKenzie, Molly, Troy and Mara. She is also survived by her siblings, Patty (Bill) Green of Norwalk, Ohio, Eddie Rice of Norwalk, Ohio, Mike Rice, of Norwalk, Ohio, Angie (Allan) Kramer of New London, Ohio, Roxanne (Mike) Deponet of Norwalk, Ohio, and Tommy (Shirley) Rice of Ft. Myers, Florida.
Friends may call on Monday, June 30, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial services at 6:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Chaplain Dave Clark of Stein Hospice Service, will officiate.
