James Branco, Jr. age 85 of Bellevue passed away Friday June 27, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born July 15, 1928 in Bellevue and married Idah (Lawley) Branco June 21, 1947 at Immaculate Conception Church. He was the son of the late James & Mamie Branco, Sr.

Jim served faithfully for over 60 years as a steamfitter/welder with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local 50, Toledo.

He was a 1946 graduate of Bellevue High School, a member of; Bellevue VFW, American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus. He served his country in the United States Navy. Jim enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and realized a lifelong dream of visiting Israel and Egypt. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking, welding and studied the Bible daily, reading it in its entirety, 2-3 times a year.

He was preceded in death by his wife Idah, parents James & Mamie (Joyce) Branco Sr., son; James Branco III, sister; Mary Mason and his brother George Branco.

He is survived by his children, daughter; Linda (Steve) Stanley of Cumberland, MD, daughter; Pamela (William) Pickard of Fremont, son; David (Jean Netz) Branco of Woodville, daughter; Cynthia Branco of Bellevue, son; Timothy Branco of Bellevue, daughter; Janece (Jack) Yatsko of Kapaa, HI, 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, brother; Joe (Marge) Branco of Alexandria, LA, sisters Eva Belfiore of Santa Rosa, CA, Josephine Linton of Sandusky, Dorothy (Tom) Adams of Bellevue and long-time friend Cecilia Strecker.

Friends will be received Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, Ohio and on Thursday, July 3, from 10:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Bellevue Catholic Cemetery.
