David B. Hunter, age 78, of Norwalk, passed away Monday evening, July 21, 2014 at his residence, surrounded by his family.
He was born July 8, 1936 in Bellevue to the late David Hunter Sr. and Beryl (Ingold) Hunter.
He was a 1955 graduate of Norwalk High School and played on the Big 8 baseball team in Ohio. He was a member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie 711, and worked at Tennaco for 33 years, retiring in 1995. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed snowmobiling, camping and all outdoor activities with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Gilhousen) Hunter of Norwalk; daughters, Vicki (Lanny) Howell of Norwalk, Lori (Vahid) Vazirian of CA and Traci (Jason) Schwomeyer of TX; grandchildren, Marissa, Mina, Hunter, Mitra, Aria, Michael, Danny and Lexie; great-grandson, Aiden; and a sister, Beryl Smith of Norwalk; and nephew, Taylor Hart of Norwalk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Gloria Hart and Dick Morgan.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date.
