Nadine (Cline) Thompson, 70, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 14, 2014 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
Mamaw was born on July 31, 1944 in Prestonburg, KY to the late Crawford and Georgie (Spears) Cline.
In her spare time, she enjoyed looking at her backyard garden and flowers, going for walks around the mall and long phone conversations. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, who were her world.
Mamaw is survived by her husband, Walker Thompson. She is also survived by her daughter, Andi (Tyi) McCarley; grandchildren, Josh Thompson, Jenna and Tyrha McCarley; great-granddaughter, Lillian "Little Boss" Thompson; sisters, Jacqueline Sparks, Diane Meesse and Gail Hayes; brothers, Kenny, Crawford (Donna), James, John P. (Gail), and Mickey Cline; special sister-in-law, Ruth Miller and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mamaw is preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Cline.
Friends may call on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Pastor Melvyn Sayler presiding. Burial will follow in Venice Cemetery, Sandusky, OH.
