Glenn S. Lorenz, 80, of Castalia died early Sunday morning, August 24, 2014 at his daughter's home following a lengthy illness.
He was born December 16, 1933 in Sandusky and had been employed at the former New Departure-Hyatt, Division of General Motors, retiring in 2002.
Glenn was a member of the UAW, Local #913.
He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Scheid of Burlington, KY; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt Poynter) Scheid, Kyle Scheid, Tiffany (Aaron) Ashley and Craig Scheid; three great grandchildren and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife Freida I. Lorenz in 2003, one son, Robert Lorenz in 1993; one daughter, Linda Lorenz in 1984; his parents, Herman and Dorothy (Schenk) Lorenz; and one sister, Doris Fallis in 1974.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Pastor David Shockey of Hebron Lutheran Church, Hebron, KY will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
