E. Henry Zidd, 92, of Bellevue passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at The Willows at Bellevue.
He was born June 15, 1922 in Cleveland, the son of Leon and Mary Zidd.
Henry married Marilyn J Diehl on September 2, 1949 in Austin, Texas; she preceded him in death on September 12, 2011.
Henry served in the United States Navy during World War Two. He worked as a mechanical engineer and plant manager at TRW, Cleveland. He was a member of the Elks, and enjoyed bowling, golfing, and fishing.
He is survived by his two sons, Gary H. (Barbara) Zidd of Morganville, NJ and James E. (Bonnie) Zidd of Hinkley, OH; a daughter, Judith Z. (Rick) Journay of Bellevue, OH; Three grandsons: Justin Journay , James (Jai) Journay, and Jonathan Journay; two granddaughters, Natalie and Samantha Zidd; Great grandson, Gunnar Journay; Nephews, Edward (Jane) Zidd of Texas, Peter (Jean) Zidd of Oregon, and Frank Trucchio of California and a niece, Jackie Shelton of Texas.
In addition to his parents and wife, Henry is preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Lee Zidd; and siblings, Edward Zidd and Helen Harris.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lakewood Cemetery, 22025 Detroit Road, Rocky River, OH 44116.
