Annie E. Smith 90, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on December 14, 1923 in Sandusky, to the late Louise (Ransom) Davis Rogers and Eugene Davis.
Annie was employed by the former Hills Department Store, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Second Baptist Church, and the Matrons Club. Annie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and loved to dance with her grandchildren.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband of 72 years, Jesse A. Smith, Sr.; daughters, Gayle Durring, Kissimmee, FL, and Mildred Morrison, Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Kimberly Bulger, Sandusky, OH, Michael (Kim) Beal, Elyria, OH, Jessica Smith, Sarasota, FL, Lauren Smith, Sandusky, OH, April Smith, Louisville, KY, Shayla Smith, Sandusky, OH, Crystal (Christopher) McQueen, Titusville, FL, Lloyd Jones and Jemar Benison, Both of Toledo, OH, Gayle (Keevyn) Hearn, Columbus, OH, Judy (Robert) Mischal, Chillicothe, OH, and Mark Morrison, Columbus, OH; daughter-in-law, Kim Smith, Louisville, KY; special great-grandsons, Dorian Bulger, and Darin Bulger, both of Sandusky, and Brandon Bulger, Orlando, FL; numerous other great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Gerald Smith and Jesse "Mike" Smith; sisters Emma Keys, Tommie Sterling, Sarah Malone, and Beatrice Woodard.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, from 11 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will take place in Perkins Cemetery.
