Naomi L. Mix, age 86, of Sandusky, died Tuesday morning, September 9, 2014, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, following a brief illness.
She was born October 18, 1927, in Venice, OH and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1945.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and was active in the Circles of the Women of the Church, served on the altar committee, communion preparation, and hospitality committee and was a former member of Zion Senior Choir. She was a former member of Sandusky Choral Society. Naomi was employed as a dental assistant for Dr. Walter C. Panning for five years and a medical assistant for Dr. Robert J. Kromer for 38 years, retiring in 1993.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents Michael and Emma (Kuether) Mix, five brothers Rev. Karl, Robert, Ralph, Paul, and Donald Mix; and two sisters Alice Wiedenheft and Florence Japsen.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. John Mawhirter will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
