Duwayne G. Dickman, 76, of Bay View, Sandusky died Tuesday morning, March 8, 2011 in the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky following a brief illness.
He was born September 8, 1934 in Sandusky and was a 1953 graduate of Margaretta High School. He was employed at the U.S. Tsubaki Plant, Sandusky for 41 years, retiring in 1994. His hobbies included wood crafting and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, the former Janet R. Stamm, whom he married on September 1, 1956, three daughters: Catherine (Donald) Platte of Sandusky, Debora (Max) Knepper of Hillard, OH., and Diana (Michael) Frantz of Sandusky, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father: Oscar Dickman, mother: Genevieve (Wieber) Scroggy and his step-father: Lester Scroggy, and two aunts.
Friends may call Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 11, 2011. Father Christopher Kardzis, of Holy Angels Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
