James H. "Bo" Reed, Jr.

James H. "Bo" Reed, Jr., 63, of Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.

He was born on September 7, 1951 in Somerdale, Alabama to the late James, Sr. and the late Eva Lee (Pollard) Reed.

James' family moved to Sandusky, where he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Ann (Register), in 1973.
James was a hard worker from the age of 17. He was employed by Ferrell Cheek Steel, Barr Rubber, Routh Packing, and Janesville Acoustic - where he was employed for 21 years. James was a legend on the softball field and at the pool table. He loved keeping his yard landscaped and his cars clean. But his greatest accomplishment was accepting the Lord as his personal savior. James was an amazing husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, son, and cousin.

James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years, Mary Ann (Register) Reed; daughter, Tiffany (Devon) Johnson; sons, James Anthoney (Ruthie) Reed, Victor L. Reed, and Aaron M. Reed, all of Sandusky; devoted niece, La'Toya Reed, of Sandusky; grandchildren, Azaria, Marshay, Aonesty, Jameriah, Victoria, Raeleena, Donye', Cha'zira, and Aaryin; great-grandchildren, Tevin, Jr. and Mizani; sisters, Annice (Charles) Marshall and Darlene Reed, both of Sandusky; brothers, Ricky and Marvin Reed, both of Sandusky; aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Diego Haney; brothers, Clifford and Dennis Reed; and sisters, Mary Frances and Sharlene Reed.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be on Monday at 1 P.M. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Elder Clinton Gray, Jr. will give the eulogy. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in James' name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK, 73123.
