Juvenal "Jerry" Zamora, 57, of Bettsville passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Countryside Nursing Home in Fremont.
He was born October 25, 1953 in Bayview, Texas the son of Cosme and Candelaria (Martinez) Zamora. Jerry was the owner of Jerry Zamora Roofing and Siding Co., a member of the Green Springs VFW. He enjoyed watching Nascar races with his favorite driver being #3 Dale Earnhart. He also enjoyed Sprint car racing at Fremont and Attica Speedways. Jerry sponsored his own sprint car under the logo name "JZ Racing". He was also a huge Cleveland Browns fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Jerry was surrounded by family and his close friend Mark Warnicke at his passing.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Susie) of Fremont; daughters, Jodie (Chris) Parish of Bettsville, Lorrie (Robert) Fullerton of Fostoria; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his mother, Candelaria Zamora; brothers, Santiago "Jim" Zamora of San Juan, TX, Alfredo "Fred" Zamora of Green Springs, Jose "Joe" (Anna) Zamora of Green Springs, Jesse Zamora of Tiffin; sisters, Effie Zamora of Columbus, Oralia Hansen of Fremont, Odelia (Manuel) Castillo of Fremont, Otilia (Len) Foos of Burgoon, and Mary Jane Zamora of Green Springs.
Preceding him in death were his father, Cosme; brother, Rudy Samora; nephew, Jeffrey Samora; and granddaughter Tessa.
Friends will be received on Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Foos-Klein Funeral Home, 318 South Main St., Clyde with the Rosary service being held at 8 p.m.. A funeral mass will be held on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 609 Vine Street, Clyde. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
