Sandra M. (Schippel) Corte, 64, residing in Sandusky, passed away late Wednesday morning, October 8, 2014 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Sandra was born on August 13, 1950 in Sandusky, OH to the late Dewey and Aileen (Maki) Schippel.
Sandra was a 1968 graduate from Margaretta High School. She worked for the Sandusky Register delivering papers for over 5 years before working at Pain & Pleasure as the book keeper with her husband. Sandra was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroeville, where she participated in the choir. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, arts and crafts, especially flower arrangements, singing, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
Sandra is survived by her husband of 18 years, Antonio Corte. She is also survived by her children, Shawne (Randy) Snow-Harris, Robert (Sharon) Chill, Matt (Melissa) Chill, Michael (Angela) Corte, Christine (Joshua) Walton and Alexandra Corte; 17 grandchildren, Omri, Antonio, Angelica, Destiny, Brittany, Brianna, Tyler, Mathew, Jacob, Kyle, Keith, Caleb, Jordan, Nevaeh, Genavieve, Gatlynn and Landon and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Corte.
Friends may call on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral services at 12:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky.
