Danny C. Kaye, 76, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born June 25, 1938 in Canton, Ohio to the late Clyde and Sarah (Seacrest) Kretzinger.
Danny was raised in Malvern, Ohio and graduated from Malvern High School. He also graduated from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio. Danny Retired from the Ford Motor Company in Avon Lake, Ohio, where he was a member of U.A.W. Local #2000. He was also a former treasurer of the union and the editor of the Vanguard Newspaper. Danny was a member of Reigning Word Fellowship Church of Norwalk, Ohio, the Stroke Club, and was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed working on, and building, computers, reading, watching his grandchildren's sporting events, and going to church.
Danny is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marian S. (Twitchell) Kaye of Norwalk, Ohio, by his daughter and son in law, Bonnie J. and Bernie Collins, of Norwalk, Ohio, by his grandchildren, Daryl (Jeremy) Kurth, Logan Collins, Allison Collins, and Colten Collins, by his sister, Sarah Amos of Mechanicstown, Ohio, and by his nephews, David and John Wood, and by his niece, Barbara Wood.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Kaye in 1995.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Pastor Ernest Robles of Reigning Word Fellowship will officiate.
