Janet R. (Crawford) Thompson, 71, residing in Youngstown, passed away early Friday, October 17, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Health Center after a brief illness.
Janet was born on November 7, 1942 in Sandusky, OH to the late Emerson and Emmadel (Perrine) Crawford.
Janet was a 1961 graduate from Sandusky High School. Janet was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Youngstown. In her spare time, she enjoyed being outdoors, especially mowing the grass, attending drag races, she loved buying stoves, refrigerators, furniture and cars and always loved spoiling her family and friends.
Janet is survived by her husband, Duane C. Thompson of 23 years. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Risk and Jackie (Gary) Shade; her fur babies, BB, Bert, and Anne and hundreds of loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her sister, Judy Davis and brother, Chuck Crawford.
Friends may call on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron, OH.
