Jerold R. "Jerry" Wobser, age 74, of Bay View, died Sunday morning, October 19, 2014, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born October 10, 1940, in Margaretta Township, and graduated from Margaretta High School in 1959.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sandusky, and played on the church's softball and dartball teams. Jerry loved all wildlife, and would feed the squirrels and birds everyday by his house. He enjoyed attending car shows, flea markets, and swap meets; and loved to work on cars and flower garden.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barb (Heminger) Wobser; mother in-law Mary Heminger; brother Delbert "Pete" (Patricia) Wobser, Sandusky; special niece Sally Hershey; and many-many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in-law.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents William and Esther (Meyer) Wobser; three sisters Audrey Jenkins Taylor, Marilyn Vasser, and Judy Limberious; and father in-law Robert Heminger.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at Ransom Funeral and Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where services will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 11:00 AM. Rev. Philip Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Castalia Cemetery.
